Curriculum
Curriculum pillars
Our curriculum is built around six key pillars that link together and support everything we do. You’ll see them woven into daily routines, continuous provision, adult-led activities, celebrations, and the caring relationships we build with every child.

We focus on clear progress, meaningful interactions, and real, measurable impact. This helps us build confidently on what each child already knows and can do, so they keep moving forward every day.
Emotional security
& wellbeing
We want all of our Tots to feel happy, safe and cared for all of the time, whether they are at home or at nursery.

Cuddles available at no extra charge!
Communication
& connection
Whether they're an only child or part of a large family, all of our Tots learn to make friends, share and play.

Care and kindness to each other are key to our ethos.
Play, exploration
& creativity
Whether through dance sessions, toys, games, songs or crafts, we encourage our Tots have fun whilst they learn.

Doing any or all of those things whilst dressed-up is encouraged.
Physical development
& health
We believe it's important to get our Tots outside into the fresh air. There are lots of options for outside play and it helps them learn about the seasons and nature.

Nutritious food and snacks are provided.
Independence
& life skills
It can be hard leaving the warmth of a Nursery environment and moving on to 'big school' so at Rainbow Tots, we do everything we can to make that transition easier.

We equip our Tots with the skills they need to take that next step onwards.
Food & nutrition
Sharing a healthy diet and a love of food with our Tots is crucial. We believe that helping children develop a healthy relationship with food is just as important as nurturing their growing minds.
Our Tots enjoy a delicious hot meal every day, along with wholesome, nutritious snacks to keep them energised throughout their busy adventures. Our rolling seasonal menu introduces children to a wide variety of flavours throughout the year, helping them build a positive, confident attitude towards food.
